The blog of Xeno, a slightly mad scientist
A panoramic image of the Saturn system was unveiled at the Newseum in Washington Tuesday. It was created by combining 141 images from NASA’s Cassini spacecraft in orbit around the ringed planet since 2004 after a seven year voyage.
In this portion of the image we can look back at the Earth and moon which look like faint stars. Awesome, isn’t it? Imagine yourself there, orbiting Saturn. That speck (the Earth) may be the only place life exists in the entire universe. We have no proof to the contrary as yet.
