The U.S. government commits genocide, 9/11 etc. and considers an inquisitive hacker to be a threat to national security after spending how many years now provoking genuine terrorism where none existed.

They should be thanking Mr. McKinnon for exposing weaknesses in security systems and paying him huge consultation fees for his services.
