I thought today was a full moon birthday, and it IS but only in one time zone according to this site. The moon is exactly full tomorrow in most time zones. (check your full moon birthdays here). Awesome and rare. A full moon on your birthday may happen never or just once in a lifetime. I’ve had a few full moon birthdays, but expect this one to be especially eventful, since it is 2012 and I’m in Maui. My next full moon birthday will be in 29 years, in the year 2031. I will be quite old, but hope to be still around. 
It is still dark here at 6:35 am Maui time. We just watched the amazing orange full moon set into a mountain from our hotel room. It set into the water yesterday, but today into a mountain, which surprised me.
Have you observed for yourself that the moon (and sun) touch down in different spots each night? This fact once helped people track the seasons, and inspired architecture such as Stonehenge.
