Col. Halt Says UFOs I Saw Were Structured Machines

Posted by Xeno on July 10, 2009

Gary Heseltine writes, “I wish to announce that for the last 19 months I have been writing a feature length film script in collaboration with Colonel Charles Halt (Ret) based on the events that occurred during the Christmas period 1980 at the United States Air Force twin base complex of RAF BENTWATERS and WOODBRIDGE where he served as the Deputy Base Commander. Our collaboration began in December 2007 after a chance meeting while working on a documentary about those events that have become collectively known as ‘the Rendlesham Forest incident’ and regarded by many as the most important UFO case since the Roswell incident in 1947.

Initially I spent four months reviewing all the known material before approaching the Colonel with a long list of questions about his involvement and his thoughts about what happened to some of the witnesses afterwards. I believe the resultant script contains the most accurate timeline yet produced and Colonel Halt fully endorses its content that is based on his personal involvement in the proceedings, the known events involving other witnesses and on his genuine belief that several of the military witnesses were the victims of psychological manipulation after their respective sightings. The script will leave no-one in doubt as to the merits of those events that occurred over several nights in December 1980.

Colonel Halt states, “I wish to make it perfectly clear that the UFOs I saw were structured machines moving under intelligent control and operating beyond the realm of anything I have ever seen before or since. I believe the objects that I saw at close quarter were extraterrestrial in origin and that the security services of both the United States and England were and have been complicit in trying to subvert the significance of what occurred at Rendlesham by use of well practiced methods of disinformation.

Clear photo, video, or physical proof? Here is a description of the English Roswell. No aliens , no debris. Not really much of Roswell.

File:Rafmap.pngAround 3 a.m. on 26 December 1980 an Unidentified Flying Object was reported by a security patrol near the East Gate of RAF Woodbridge. Servicemen initially thought it was a downed aircraft but, upon entering the forest to investigate, they saw many strange lights moving through the trees, as well as a bright light from an unidentified object. Shortly after 4 a.m. local police were called to the scene but reported that the only lights they could see were those from the Orford Ness lighthouse, some miles away on the coast.

Some of the airmen claim to have seen a conical metallic object, suspended in a yellow mist, hovering over a clearing in the trees, with a pulsating blue and red circle of light above. One eyewitness claims to have seen triangular landing gear on the object leaving three impressions in the ground that were visible the next day. The servicemen further claimed that the object seemed to move away from them as they approached, and they followed it out into a field. Some reports claim that local farmyard animals had been behaving in a state of fear and panic, although this was an arable farm and had no animals.

The airmen were allegedly debriefed, threatened and ordered to sign documents that vowed silence; one even claimed to have been forced to sign a document claiming the UFO was a lighthouse. Some reports suggest that they were reportedly ordered to stay quiet, with the warning “bullets are cheap”. Lieutenant Colonel Halt, however, claimed in a 2008 interview for U.S. news channel CNN that to this day he has not been debriefed over the incident.

After daybreak on the morning of 26 December, servicemen returned to the small clearing where the conical object had been seen, and found three small impressions in a triangular pattern, as well as burn marks and broken branches on nearby trees. Plaster casts of the imprints were taken and have been shown in television documentaries. At 10.30 a.m. the local police were called out again, this time to see the impressions on the ground, which they thought could have been made by an animal. – wiki

Life Hardwired in the Universe

Posted by Xeno on July 10, 2009

Ch2201A recent mathematical analysis says that life as we know it is written into the laws of reality. DNA is built from a set of twenty amino acids – the first ten of those can create simple prebiotic life, and now it seems that those ten are thermodynamically destined to occur wherever they can.

For those unfamiliar with thermodynamics, it’s the Big Brother of all energy equations and science itself. You can apply quantum mechanics at certain scales, and Newtonian mechanics work at the right speeds, but if Thermodynamics says something then everyone listens. An energy analysis by Professors Pudritz and Higgs of McMaster University shows that the first ten amino acids are likely to form at relatively low temperatures and pressures, and the calculated odds of formation match the concentrations of these life-chemicals found in meteorite samples.

They also match those in simulations of early Earth, and most critically, those simulations were performed by other people. The implications are staggering: good news for anyone worried about how we’re alone, and bad news for anyone who demands some kind of “Designer” to put life together – it seems that physics can assemble the organic jigsaw all by itself, thank you very much, and has probably done so throughout space since the beginning of everything.

The study indicates that you don’t need a miracle to arrive at the chemical cocktail for early life, just a decently large asteroid with the right components.  That’s all.  The entire universe could be stuffed with life, from the earliest prebiotic protein-a-likes to fully DNAed descendants.  The path from one to the other is long, but we’ve had thirteen and a half billion years so far and it’s happened at least once.

So where are the aliens? Perhaps they are busy running around in our crop circles.

Man doesn’t pay for ‘Only God can judge me’ tattoo

Posted by Xeno on July 10, 2009

http://www.bbc.co.uk/radioassets/photos/2007/4/3/17937_2.jpgGod might not be the only one passing judgment on a man who skipped out on paying $200 for a religious tattoo at a parlor. Denton police are investigating a nonpayment complaint filed by a tattoo artist who inscribed “Only God can judge me” on a customer’s arm. The Denton Record-Chronicle reported Thursday that the artist finished the work, which included a pair of praying hands, and presented the bill.

The customer Monday offered a credit card, which was declined, then he ran out of the store.

Green industrial lubricant developed

Posted by Xeno on July 10, 2009

A team of researchers from the University of Huelva has developed an environmentally-friendly lubricating grease based on ricin oil and cellulose derivatives, according to the journal Green Chemistry. The new formula does not include any of the contaminating components used to manufacture traditional industrial lubricants.

“The objective of this research was to develop a product that could be used as a lubricating grease but that was made only from natural materials and was therefore 100% biodegradable”, José María Franco, a chemical engineer at the University of Huelva and co-author of the study published recently in Green Chemistry, tells SINC.

Environmentally-friendly greases are “oleogels” that use cellulose derivatives from plants and ricin oil (from a bush in the Euphorbiaceae family) as a lubricant base. Franco says these new formulations are “an alternative to traditional lubricating greases, which create pollution that is difficult to combat once discharged into the environment”.

Lubricants used in industry are made from non-biodegradable components, such as synthetic oils or petroleum derivatives, and thickeners made with metallic soaps or polyurea derivatives (a family of synthetic polymers). These are currently the best performers, but they also imply more problems from an environmental perspective.

Millions of tonnes of hydraulic and industrial oils, and others from machinery, are discharged each year into rivers, the sea and fields. Mineral-based oils can contaminate groundwater for more than 100 years, and can prevent the growth of trees and prove toxic to aquatic life.

Only partial solutions have been found to date for this problem, such as substituting mineral oil for vegetable ones, but no alternatives had been found to the metallic thickeners, which are also highly polluting. The new green grease provides an answer, although the scientists admit that “more research is needed” in order to perfect its lubricating and anti-wear performance.

New oral agents may prevent radiation injury. Just use vitamin C?

Posted by Xeno on July 10, 2009

figure1aResearchers from Boston University School of Medicine (BUSM) and collaborators have discovered and analyzed several new compounds, collectively called the ”EUK-400 series,” which could someday be used to prevent radiation-induced injuries to kidneys, lungs, skin, intestinal tract and brains of radiological terrorism victims. The findings, which appear in the June issue of the Journal of Biological Inorganic Chemistry, describe new agents which can be given orally in pill form, which would more expedient in an emergency situation.

These agents are novel synthetic “antioxidants” that protect tissues against the kind of damage caused by agents such as “free radicals.” Free radicals, and similar toxic byproducts formed in the body, are implicated in many different types of tissue injury, including those caused by radiation exposure. Often, this kind of injury occurs months to years after radiation exposure. The BUSM researchers and their colleagues are developing agents that prevent injury even when given after the radiation exposure.

This paper describes a newer class of compounds, the ”EUK-400 series,” that are designed to be given as a pill. According to the researchers, experiments described in their paper prove that these agents are orally active. They also show that the new agents have several desirable “antioxidant” activities, and protect cells in a “cell death” model.

These same BUSM researchers and collaborators had previously discovered novel synthetic antioxidants that effectively mitigate radiation injuries, but had to be given by injection. “

Drug companies hate that they can’t patent Vitamin C.

Doctors are to begin clinical trials to investigate whether cancer patients should be given huge doses of vitamin C alongside conventional drugs after research suggested the vitamin could dramatically boost survival rates.

High doses of vitamin C reduced the growth of aggressive tumours by between 41% and 53% when injected into mice affected by the disease, researchers found. The vitamin was injected directly into the bloodstream because animals, including humans, naturally limit how much vitamin C they absorb from food. – guarduk

Until a genetic mutation in our past, our bodies used to make Vitamin C from sugar.

Like plants, most mammals (with the exception of humans and guinea pigs) make their ascorbic acid from glucose and can make glucose from ascorbic acid. Some primates, remote ancestors of humans, underwent a genetic mutation about 40-45 million years ago and haven’t been able to make “vitamin C” since. Therefore living humans need nowadays to get all “vitamin C” from food. Some scientists think that the loss of human ability to make “vitamin C” may have caused Homo sapiens’ rapid evolution into modern man. – wiki

See the world’s largest ground-based lunar image mosaic

Posted by Xeno on July 10, 2009

lunarhighresThis image has been verified by Guinness World Records as setting a new record for the world’s largest ground-based lunar image mosaic. It contains 288 separate high resolution panes, painstakingly stitched and matched together to form a seamless image. All the panes were shot during a single night to ensure that the Moon is at the same phase across the image, and despite difficult conditions on the night, the angular (detail) resolution is, as you can see by zooming in, incredibly high.

UPDATED: Colin Andrews: Level 10 (High) Unexplained Phenomena Alert

Posted by Xeno on July 10, 2009

A 5:00 AM sighting by a “Wiltshire Police Sergeant” of strange tall blond very fast beings in a crop circle has prompted a high strangeness alert:

Unexplained Phenomena Alert Level 10 Red (High) has been issued for the first time  since it was devised in 1989 following the Cheesefoot Head incident.

This from colinandrews.net:

7th July 2009, Silbury Hill, Wiltshire, England. Crop Circle located south west of the hill off the A4 highway.

This is the same location where on the 23 May 1994, four researchers (including one nuclear scientist) visiting a crop design in this field, witnessed intense military presence moments before they each experienced 45 minutes missing time and within a short while a further period of missing time. Each had red marks appear on their necks and had severe nose bleeds hours later. …

This is also the site of a secret military stake out which took place during the 1990 Operation Blackbird, where over these fields a large unidentified white orb was filmed by the army present.

The latest bizarre event took place yesterday morning (7th) at approximately 5.0 AM, when a Wiltshire Police Sergeant was driving in his private car towards Marlborough on the A4 highway and about to pass Silbury Hill on his left. He looked to his right and witnessed three exceptionally tall beings inspecting the new crop circle which appeared there on the 5th July. He stopped his vehicle and watched them for several minutes because they stood out as odd. Each of them were well over six feet tall, each had blond hair and also they all were wearing one piece white suites, with hoods that had been dropped onto the back of their heads.

After a few minutes watching them, he said they were appeared to be examining the crop in the  circle, he shouted at them from a distance of about 400 yards but they ignored him.  As soon as he entered the field, they became aware of him and ran at an amazing speed to the south, away  from Silbury Hill.  He said I recognised that I could never catch up with them they ran so  exceptionally fast.  He glanced away for just a few seconds and looked back to find that they had  completely vanished. He became very uneasy and left the scene.

The police officer was very aware of hearing a static crackling sound in the field and around him.
He said as the plants moved around, he could see the movement coincided with the level of  sound, as if the static was effecting the plants by moving them.

He also started to experience a headache in the field, which became worse as the day went on  and he could not shake it off all day.

Ground research being done by Andrew Russell: http://www.truth-reality.co.uk/index.html

via Unexplained Phenomena Alert.

Why is the Sargent not named? What is the chain of custody regarding this report? Did Andrew Russell know the officer and tell Colin Andrews about it, for example? The article does not say. Where is the transcript of the interview with the officer? Did the officer file a report? Can someone post a copy of that?

Can someone get the names of all the current Wiltshire Police Sergeants, please so we can figure out who this was and see if he confirms the story and has any further details?

How many Sergeants are there in the Wiltshire Police and which was/where on duty at the time? http://www.wiltshire.police.uk/

Let’s get some verifiable information… and remember to include the “Who” in your “Who, what, where, why, when” when you are reporting something strange. [ Update: If the source wants to remain anonymous, you have much less of a story, but at least say why.]

See my crop circle article for a large collection of crop circle photos.

July 15 Update:

It seems that too many people attempted to get more information due to my post above.

……… we were making progress until the officer became aware of some blogger
suggesting that ’somone’  find out from wiltshire police the names of all serving
police seargents and who was on/off duty at the time, in an attempt to further verify
information and question the officer (http://xenophilius.wordpress.com/2009/07/10/).
Now, Wiltshire police will not release this information as it would contravene the
Data Protection Act and the Freedom of Information Act, and anyone with a
modicum of common sense will realise this (but obviously not this blogger) but
………………….s
nip

Hold those calls. The Colin Andrews site calls

… for the public and research fraternity to back away and give this policeman space and Wiltshire Police offices also.  The efforts being made on the ground to obtain information for everyone is proceeding but is not being helped by the overwhelming volume of efforts to get involved or even scuttle the research.

It makes sense to me that an officer might contact Colin because he is well known as a crop circle authority, but in most news stories if a source wants to remain anonymous, that is part of the original published story.

I once interviewed an anonymous person who claimed to see Nordic aliens. Colin’s story is certainly more promising, as his source is a cop.

As Colin will not release the officer’s name, I must wonder, respectfully, if he has considered that the “officer” might be a prankster or that this could be even darker: someone seeking to discredit him?  It would not be the first time something like this has happened.

It seems to me common sense that while the possibility of a “hoax cop” may be remote, it could not possibly be more remote than a true spotting of super speedy vanishing Nordic aliens.
