Creepy Backwards Head Twisting Video

Posted by Xeno on August 29, 2006

Click the picture to play the video. Yes, it has to be fake, but how did they do it? I can think of a few ways, but the easiest would be: His head is really a mask and he turns it around.

It just doesn’t look like that to me. Perhaps they did this: Edit the part of the video with his head so it is out of synch with the part of the video with his body.? This way you don’t have to create a fake head.

You just need to have him do two takes:

Take one: he moves his hands as if he is dislocating his head, and …

Take two: he keeps his hands down and moves his head as his hands directed in the first take.

The blurry video makes it easier. Still, it is amazing to watch. I gotta try this some day with a video camera to see what I’m picturing can actually be done.

Ahmadinejad challenges Bush to TV debate

Posted by Xeno on August 29, 2006

It won’t happen, but it would be fascinating to watch.

“Talk of a debate is just a diversion from the legitimate concerns that the international community, debatechallenge.jpg not just the U.S., has about Iran’s behaviour — from support for terrorism to pursuit of a nuclear weapons capability,” White House spokeswoman Dana Perino said in New Orleans. … “The debate should be go uncensored in order for the American people to be able to listen to what we say and they should not restrict the American people from hearing the truth.” – swissinfo

Giant Surfing Praying Mantids?

Posted by Xeno on August 29, 2006

Did you ever look at a photo and your mind just refused to see what was really there? Instead, you see something totally bizzare? That’s what happened for me with this photo from the Miami Herald. It looks to me like two 10 ft tall praying mantids surfing. I’m sure any second it will “click” and I’ll see it correctly… some people flying a kite on a surfboard. They say if something is bizzare enough, we just won’t see it.

A Very Non-Earthly Seeming UFO Encounter

Posted by Xeno on August 29, 2006

Check out this description. If this is a secret military craft, we are getting pretty advanced.

… The Evening News was contacted by one of the witnesses to the anomaly, which happened at 12.20am on August 23. A second man, a civil aviation worker at Norwich Airport, also reported seeing the lights in the sky.

black_triangle_ufo.jpg

The aviation specialist, who did not want to be identified and said it was definitely not a stealth aircraft, was walking home from the cinema when he saw the craft about 50ft in the air, and judged it to nine feet by five feet by comparing it with nearby trees.

He said: ?A bright red ball just appeared. It glowed then turned blue and a triangular black glass type solid craft appeared. It pulsed various lights but there was no sound. It turned as if to look in my direction.

?It fired off a light beam that jumped rapidly from house to house along Low Road. It then increased the light at the flat edge, I presume the back, and it just shot off in total silence towards the north. No sound at any time except a static fizz in the air.?

Witness Austin Paxman, of Norwich, contacted the Evening News and said he was taking a short cut across the Royal Norwich Golf Club when he saw the same craft, but from a different angle.
… ?In a book by Timothy Good called Beyond Top Secret he says the hotspot for UFO activity in the UK in terms of reports to official bodies is the Norwich area. – more

I wonder if the TR-3B Astra, if it exists, could zoom around silently with a static fizz.

“Designated the TR-3B : code-named : Astra : its first operational flight was in the early 90s : eyewitness reports and evidence lend to earlier test flights. They have been spotted around the globe. At least three craft costing a billion dollars each were flying by 1994.” – more

Then again, the photo and this web page could just be disinformation designed to hide the truth about the aliens. ;-)

New Dinosaur Discovered, Matches Ancient Figurines?

Posted by Xeno on August 29, 2006

The Figurines Of Acambaro, Mexico according to some, accurately depict very specific types of dinosaurs only recently discovered … and more, they (like the Ica Stones) depict a time when dinosaurs and men lived together, something modern science denies. While I don’t share the biblical explanation on bible.ca, I’m intrigued by this mystery.
A new dinosaur discovery, the Titanosaur, to my eye anyway, bears a startling resemblance to many Acambaro figurines in both shape and size relative to humans. Since this dinosaur was only discovered in 2006, figurines from hundreds, thousands (or millions?) of years ago would obviously be more than remarkable. Compare the Acambaro figurines to the Titanosaur skeleton:

Mount Pleasant ‘Chupacabra’ is a Gray Fox, a Very Strange One

Posted by Xeno on August 29, 2006

By Prentiss Findlay. “… Mount Pleasant has been abuzz in recent weeks with talk of a mysterious creature roaming the woods that was so friendly it played with cats, yet so weird-looking it left those who witnessed it feeling unsettled.

Since the Mount Pleasant sightings became public, the critter has been reported bounding through the woods in Charleston, Dorchester and Berkeley counties. Some said it had sinister eyes. Others said it moved in a magical flash from one spot to another.

It’s been described as any number of odd crossbreeds including a dog and a deer or a fox and a weasel. One reader speculated that it was el chupacabra, the mythical creature said to suck the blood from goats…. “It’s unequivocally a gray fox,” said Jaap Hillenius, a biology professor at the College of Charleston.

But it’s not just any gray fox. No, this gray fox, delivered frozen from Mount Pleasant to the college, is an odd-looking critter. For one thing, it doesn’t have all the hair it’s supposed to. And the woman who found it dead in the road, Ann Concannon, said the proportions don’t look right to her.

But for now, Hillenius said that’s exactly what he’s got in his lab. A gray fox, albeit an odd-looking one. Hillenius said he is exploring a cause for the animal’s strange appearance. Is it mange? A bacterial infection? A virus? Could it be related to global warming?

“It may just be a wild goose chase,” he said. – MORE

Ernesto, John and Ioke

Posted by Xeno on August 29, 2006

Tropical Storm Ernesto forecast to strengthen, possibly to a hurricane, is approaching Florida. Residents are preparing as they typically do. They’ve lived it before: The power lines get knocked down. If it gets really bad and if it hits during the day, they may watch the roofs (including theirs) blow right off, shingle by shingle. In the aftermath: No power, stores, gas, fresh water or AC in the sweltering heat for up to a week or more. This according to a Florida resident I interviewed last night. Watch the radar here:

Also, “An undersea earthquake struck near Indonesia’s Moluccas islands on Tuesday”. At first it was rated as 6.4 but has since been downgraded. How do earthquakes get downgraded? Equipment malfunctions?

And, Hurricane John threatens Mexico’s Pacific coast

artwake.jpgWhile elsewhere the military has evacuated about 200 people from Wake Island due to an approaching Category 5 Super Typhoon.

“For the first time in nearly five decades, this tiny coral atoll in the middle of the Pacific, where its highest point barely rises to about 18 feet, has been evacuated. The reason is Super Typhoon Ioke, whose eye is aiming straight at Wake Island, home to an American base. The fragile atoll is expected to be pummeled by gusts of up to 160 knots and waves of up to 40 feet.” Click to enlarge the image from Earth Browser.

Rumsfeld’s poetry goes into hiding

Posted by Xeno on August 29, 2006

Rumsfeld’s “last significant poem gushed forth in a July 31 briefing. Asked about the war in Lebanon, Rumsfeld offered what I have on his behalf titled, “Observations on Wasted Sunlight”: It is what it is. What’s happened has happened. And the folks over there are sorting it out. And Condi and the President Have both commented on it. That’s good enough for our country. Good to see you all. Why are you all not out there In the sun, getting a suntan?

If Rumsfeld that day was musing about some far-off beach, who could blame him? – MORE
